Social distancing day 27: Egg dying

Yay Easter for providing some variation and a craft for the kiddos!

The kids helped put the tablets in the cups and measure the vinegar and the water in to each cup and watch the tablets fizz.  Then we got ready to dye eggs.  We used food coloring and Q-tips and the traditional egg tablets.  The kids had a ball.  This lasted an amazingly long time.  I don't think Jeff actually colored any eggs as he was helping Flynt and that was pretty much a full time job but I had fun trying to make some pretty eggs while helping Wren.  All of us had a good time and had discolored fingers when we are done which I feel like is tradition, hahaha.

My other project for the day was making home made pecan sticky buns.  They are as good as they look.  I'm actually rather proud of myself for making these as it is more complicated than most of the the things I cook since it involves yeast and dough rising and makes me feel cool.

We also had another social distancing friends night and played Ticket to Ride on an App while skyping with friends.  It was really fun and we stayed up way to late for a morning where we know little people are going to wake up early and excited but it was totally worth it.
